Founded in 1993, AMBIENTAR is one of the leading environmental consultancies in Portugal.
One of the most emblematic projects in Portuguese recent history was EXPO'98. AMBIENTAR, which was responsible for the Environmental Management of the site between 2000 and 2005, was a key player in this urban and environmental regeneration success story.
Several initiatives, promoted by the government and the local authorities have given AMBIENTAR a valuable experience in understanding the importance of public participation, of civil society engagement, and the sharing of environmental information and knowledge. This is actually a priority for AMBIENTAR.
In 2008, AMBIENTAR undertook a new challenge and expanded its services in Europe, investing in strong partnerships with London and Madrid based companies. As part of this strategy, a new office was opened in the Algarve, in this case, to bring the company closer to Tourism and Golf Resort investors.
